BMW's M Division has unleashed a track version of its upcoming 1-series M Coupe, which made its debut as the 2011 MotoGP safety car at the season-opening MotoGP race in Qatar on 20 March. Local Motors reveals 3D-printed car design

Local Motors has chosen the design it will 3D-print during the course of the International Manufacturing Technology Show (ITMS) in Chicago, IL, which runs from 8-13 September. Called Strati, the concept was judged the best entry in Local Motors' first 3D Printed Car Design Challenge. It was created by Italian designer Michele Anoé, and his design 'will inform and influence' the car to be printed during the course of the ITMS.

Quarter of car sellers 'lie'

MORE THAN a quarter (28%) of people selling a car admit to telling a ‘white lie’ to help the sale go ahead. The statistics are higher among young car sellers aged 18-25-years old, where 33% admit to lying to make sure their cars is sold. A study commissioned by vehicle history service HPI found 11% of sellers admitted to hiding problems with their car, while 9% are prepared to alter the mileage of their car to achieve a better price.
