Original Mercedes Benz chrome and wood dash ashtray from a 1965 220 S. Used, un-restored condition. Wood is in very nice shape. Chrome handle has some pitting but is bright. Spring-loaded chrome flap works fine. Tray is maker marked GHE. Usable as-is to replace a missing or broken ash tray in a daily driver or restore for show. Wood is about 3 3/8" wide x 2" tall. Ash tray is about 6" long. Thanks for looking!

Sun, 24 Jun 2012The 2012 European Grand Prix on the street circuit in Valencia sees Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel on pole position with Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren alongside. Slowly, but not yet completely, Red Bull and McLaren seem to be getting a handle on the topsy-turvy 2012 Grand Prix Circus. Despite serious challenges in final qualifying, it was Sebastian Vettel who set a blistering time to take pole, his third pole of the 2012 season, 33rd of his career and third at Valencia.

Mercedes wouldn't say what it planned to do with the massive space. Was Benz building airplanes?
