If you are looking at this ad you know how expensive the original style thermostat is($160-$300)if you can find one.  This installs in place of the original with no modifications to the car and is completely reversible. This unit includes a standard 180 degree medium quality thermostat that is available off the shelf at any auto parts store for $10. The unit you will received has never been installed. The picture of the installed unit is for reference and is not included in this auction. It is installed on a 1959 220s Ponton. I decided to offer this to other owners after doing this for a friends car and it worked perfectly. The car comes to temperature in about 1 mile of driving. It is basically two water outlet housings bolted face to face. Both of the housing are machined(modified) to make this work. (yes you could do all of this yourself but by time you did all of the research and running around gathering parts, let alone the machine work, you would be ahead to just buy this one. I currently have one in stock for immediate shipping. If there is a demand I can quickly build up more. I am not sure as to all of the years and models this will fit, that is up to you to decide based on studying the pictures. The original thermostat on this car was stuck open so the car would never warm up, it therefore ran rich which is bad for the cylinder walls as they are being washed down with raw fuel. This unit will never have to be replaced, just open it up and change out the thermostat. Also you have the convenience of trying different temperature thermostats without a lot of cost. This is actually a very elegant solution for these cars. Tell a friend. Or better yet buy one for a friend. HaHa

Wed, 17 Sep 2014

Ford C-Max & Grand C-Max 2015 FACELIFT revealed Ford has been busy grafting their new grill on to cars across their range recently, and the latest models to get the ‘Gaydon Grill’ (and other tweaks) are the C-Max and Grand C-Max – Ford’s 5 and 7 seat MPVs based on the Focus – revealed today ahead of a debut at the Paris Motor Show next month. As you’e expect, the changes amount to pretty much what we’ve seen with the Ford Focus facelift, so there’s a new grill to make the Ford statement accompanied by new headlights and bonnet. Round the back the tailgate has been given a slicker, simplified makeover, there’s a new bumper and smaller lights.
