This is a good, functioning EZL ignition module that works with any 5.0L Mercedes M119.97x engine with LH electronic fuel injection. This EZL has been tested on my personal car... the engine starts & runs fine with it installed. All previous DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes) have been cleared/reset; this unit is ready for installation on your car. Someone had previously marked this unit with neon pink paint, as seen in the photo. I scraped the paint off the part number so you can clearly see the part number.

I guarantee the unit is not DOA, but there is no warranty otherwise. The part number has been superceded a few times, the current number has a list price of over $3500 USD, and over $2800 wholesale. This module will work with the following vehicles only:

  • 124 chassis: 1992-1993 500E, 1994 E500
  • 140 chassis: 1992-1993 500SEL, 1994-1995 S500
  • 129 chassis: 1993 500SL, 1994-1995 SL500 (Note: This EZL will not work on the 1990-1992 500SL with CIS / KE injection!)
If you are not sure if this module will work on your car, please email me the make, year, model, and the part number of your current EZL. Even if your current EZL is not the same exact part number, this module will still work perfectly as long as you have a 5.0L engine with LH injection. If you are upgrading your 92-95 4.2L car to a 5.0L engine, you'll need this module for your engine swap. Pick this one up as a spare for a fraction of the cost of a new one - don't get stranded in the middle of nowhere with a failed EZL!

This EZL will interchange with the following EZL's only:
  • 012-545-85-32
  • 013-545-64-32
  • 014-545-42-32
  • 014-545-43-32
  • 015-545-62-32

EZL Return Policy: This EZL can be returned for the following reasons:
  1. If you receive the wrong item
  2. If the item is not as described
Returns for any other reason will incur a 10% restocking fee. You will receive a money back refund ONLY if the item is returned in original condition (i.e., undamaged and functional). Sorry, shipping and handling fees are not refundable. Please note that EZL's can be damaged by defective/failing ignition coils, and both ignition coils should be replaced prior to installing the new EZL.

Beware other sellers who offer their untested EZL modules "as-is", with no guarantee the module won't arrive DOA; or sellers who do not specify a refund policy!!

Also beware of sellers who claim their EZL's fit both 4.2L and 5.0L engines, this is NOT correct... the EZL must match engine displacement.

Please email me with any questions - thanks!

Jail term and driving ban for King

Fri, 16 May 2014

FOOTBALLER Marlon King has been jailed for 18 months for dangerous driving after a crash which left a motorist with a broken arm. The striker, currently without a club after being released by Sheffield United last year, had pleaded guilty to a charge of dangerous driving at Nottingham Crown Court in March. Sentencing King at the same court today, Recorder Paul Mann QC said: "I do not regard your case as merely impulsive or silly behaviour.

'Bloody cyclists' driver convicted

Tue, 19 Nov 2013

A MOTORIST from Norfolk who tweeted about "bloody cyclists" after a collision described the post as "my biggest regret" as she was convicted of driving offences. Former trainee accountant Emma Way, 22, from Watton, was found guilty at Norwich Magistrates' Court of failing to stop after a collision and failing to report an accident. She was cleared of driving without due care and attention.

Australian Grand Prix (2010) RESULT

Sun, 28 Mar 2010

The start of the Australian Grand Prix Melbourne-2010 We started to get gripes at the end of last year’s F1 season that our headlines on Grand Prix results gave the game away. Not an overwhelming number of emails – just a steady trickle. But we got loads after our Ferrari One-Two at Bahrain headline at the first F1 Grand Prix of the season, so we’re going to obfuscate the headlines and the sub-header this year, so all of you who’ve stuck the race on Sky+ don’t get it spoilt.
