OE Mercedes 4-Speed Manual Transmission.
This is the older, cast iron housing as used in the early W115s.
Not road tested, but goes into all 4 gears and the bearings feel smooth and tight.
Rusty and corroded inside - kinda ugly but totally functional, would clean up with a little work.
Series is 716.210. Mates to OM616 and OM617 diesel motors in the W123 chassis. Will also fit other chassis vehicles with this series of motors (W115, W116, W126) with some conversion necessary.
This is a great candidate to convert your automatic to a manual.
In addition to the transmission, we have almost all the other parts you would need for the conversion available for sale separately (flywheel, shifter, linkage, mount, etc.). Please contact us if you're interested in these.

Comes with a 90-day guarantee.

Concept Car of the Week: BMW Turbo (1972)

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

Built by Michelotti in Turin and unveiled at the 1972 Paris motor show, the BMW Turbo was built both as a symbol of the carmaker's strength after its troubles in the ‘60s and as a celebration of that summer's Olympic Games in Munich. This two-door coupe, based on a modified 2002 chassis with a mid-mounted engine, was born when BMW's design director Paul Bracq convinced the board to let him design a concept that would be part design exercise, part technology testbed. Safety had become an increasingly important consideration following a number of design summits in the early ‘70s, and Bracq used the Turbo to test out a number of safety solutions.

Fiat and BMW ready to announce deal

Wed, 28 Jan 2009

[ad#ad-1] Don’t mention the war, Basil! The Germans and Italians look like they’re getting in bed together again, but this time the axis could provide some goodies for us all, and some cost saving benefits for both BMW and Fiat. Fiat, in a strong position after posting their best ever figures for 2008, is on a bit of a rampage at the moment, looking to take advantage of the problems in the car industry that could end up pushing them up the car makers league table, even to the heights of the #1 car maker in the world, Toyota.

Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept arrives at Pebble Beach

Sat, 17 Aug 2013

Victoer Muller has deliver the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept (pictured) at Pebble Beach You have to admire Victor Muller’s tenacity, and you have to admire the way he’s sketched the B6 Venator out on the back of a fag packet and got the car world salivating over a car that’s really just a set of pretty clothes. Because glorious though the B6 Venator is – and Victor has managed to rub out the roof on the back of his fag packet in a very convincing way to deliver the Spyker B6 Venator Spyder Concept – it must be someone else’s car to start with. There is no way Spyker has the money – despite Victor’s Gold Medal in investment  garnering – or has had the time to develop the B6 Ventaor from scratch, so he’s using something else under the very pretty skin he’s created for the Venator.
