Maranello announced a five-year eco plan in 2007 when it unveiled the Mille Chili and the HY-KERS is the latest step in the programme. Despite the Honda Coupe's 'concept' designation, this car essentially previews the ninth-generation model set to go on sale later this year. Proportionally the new car is an evolution of the outgoing model, with a slim side profile and elongated tail. Its lamp, grille and window graphics also build on the existing themes but have been refined to add more balance and definition to the car's detailing.
