These factory center caps are take off's from virtually band new vehicles, when the wheels were removed for chroming or when different custom wheels were installed. As a result these caps must be legally sold as used. They are in like new condition: thou may have slight marks or dents from the removal process.

It is the "Star & Laurel" with Blue Trim wheel center cap. 

The part number on the back of this cap is: A171 400 00 25. 

Our Ref # OE-BENZ-30.

This cap measures approximately 2 15/16" in diameter.

May be used on all O.E. Mercedes stock wheels alloy wheels, late model design (15 in diameter wheels or larger) from 1986 on. Also fits most after market wheels, designed to accept the Mercedes center cap  

Please verify the part number and diameter to ensure proper fitment.

Michelin design contest inspires young minds

The College for Creative Studies in Detroit held its 24th Michelin Design challenge, in which Michelin sponsors a design and development project for one of CCS' transportation design classes. The competition works like this: CCS and Michelin get together to develop a theme, then CCS picks which transportation design class will work on the project. The idea, Michelin says, is to celebrate and promote the kind of vehicle design that highlights original thinking and innovation.

Christian von Koenigsegg talked to Bloomberg Businessweek over the weekend, telling the publication about his youth, the supercar business and how most Koenigsegg designs start in his head. It's all worth a read. But at the end of the four-page article, the head of the brand hints at a new car, built as a “money-is-no-object venture” for a dealer in China.

Firts photo of the 2012 Honda CR-V We first got a proper look at the new Honda CR-V (the 2012 model) in concept form back in  July, and at the time Honda told us that they were planning a US release by the end of 2011, but no European release until Autumn of 2012. So the seemingly unheralded reveal of the new CR-V on Honda’s website in Japan is a bit of a surprise. The photo has suddenly appeared in a gallery of teaser photos of the new CR-V on Honda’s website and as far as we can see Honda has done nothing to trail it.
