Item is the idle control relay for most of the '79-'85 model V8 3.8 or 5.0 Mercedes sedans or roadsters. Part number is 002 545 40 32 with a current list price of $565. If your 380SE/SEL or 380/500SL is idling erratically odds are that this--or the under hood idle control valve--is the culprit. Item is authentic Mercedes/VDO, German made part and has never been mounted, though it is dusty from long storage in a mechanic's parts spare collection. Shown as good also for the eurospec 500's, as well as the USA models. Offered at good value.

Hyundai has started production of the ix35 Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle which perhaps previews the facelift for the ix35. We revealed last year that Hyundai were pushing ahead with their hydrogen fuel cell cars (and eschewing battery EVs in the process) with plans to start rolling the Hyundai ix35 FCEV off the production line by the end of 2012. That plan slipped just a little, but the first ix35 FCEV has now rolled of the production line in Korea (pictured above) as Hyundai work towards full scale production of the ix35 FCEV by 2015.

2011 Los Angeles Auto Show Roundup This week saw the start of the Los Angeles Motor Show, so we thought we’d have a quick look at what was on the floor, including some of the stuff we haven’t already looked at. There was the ‘cool in white’ Jaguar stand and the latest Defender DC100 Concept, all prettied up in baby blue. There were Camaros and Mustangs, the new Bentley GTC (but no V8 – that’s for Detroit in January), a hot Beetle R and Volvo’s You Concept that points the way to the next generation of Volvo design.
