New Mini Hardtop 4-door: First look
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Meet the Mini Cooper Hardtop 4-door. The company has followed the surprise unveiling of its one-off Superleggera Vision roadster concept at the recent Villa d'Este Concourse d'Eleganza in Italy with this, a five-door production hatchback that is planned to join its North American lineup later this year. The new Mini model shares its front-wheel-drive mechanical package with the latest three-door Mini Cooper hatchback launched earlier this year but aims to provide more everyday practicality than its popular sibling through a combination of extended external dimensions and a pair of stubby rear doors.
Kia ED
Mon, 07 Aug 2006The first official photos of the new Kia ED 5-door hatch were released at the time of the British Motor Show. As part of Kia's continuing effort to establish the brand in the European market, ED jumps straight into the hottest and the most competitive cluster of the European C-segment. Previewed as the Cee'd concept at the 2006 Geneva Motorshow, ED is not only looking to take on the likes of Ford Focus, Renault Megane and VW Golf, but also aims to lift the brand image and appeal to 'badge conscious' European consumers.
Mercedes SLC (or Mercedes GT): It’s Official Spy photo time – again
Sat, 22 Jun 2013Mercedes turn spy photographers for the baby SLS – the Mercedes SLC/GT It’s almost 4 years since we first revealed there were plans afoot at Mercedes-Benz to build a small, nimbler SLS to take on the Porsche 911 – a car subsequently dubbed the Mercedes SLC – but not until 2014. Well, 2014 is less than half a year away, Mercedes confirmed the SLC was in the mix and now we get a set of ‘spy’ photos of the SLC (or Mercedes GT, perhaps) – straight from Mercedes. It’s not the first time Mercedes has tried to put spy photographers out of business, as both the SLS had ‘official’ spy photos and video, as did the new Mercedes SLK.
