Some signs of age in the plastic but the only tear is in the back of the steering wheel on the left. Originally ordered as a replacement for my W123 but I haven't used it. |

Design Contest: LA Auto Show previews 2006 Design Challenge

Now in its second year, the conference bridges designers interests by providing workshops, leading design speakers and the opportunity to address common issues. Syd Mead's 'Progressions' exhibition featured on CarArt.us
Thu, 09 Jan 2014CarArt.us, the largest online automotive art gallery, is featuring art from world-renowned futurist Syd Mead's 50-piece ‘Progressions' exhibit, a retrospective spanning more than 50 years. Mead's work is shown in chronological order, starting from 1957's Bugatti concept and tracking his progression all the way up to 2010's Megacoach. Highly influential futurist Mead graduated with distinction from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles in 1959, beginning his career at Ford's Advanced Styling Studio in Dearborn, Michigan, before establishing Syd Mead, Inc.
Pilkington Vehicle Design Awards 2011
Mon, 11 Jul 2011One student designer has made history by winning the prizes for Best Overall Design and Best Use of Glazing at the 2011 Pilkington Vehicle Design Awards. For the first time in the awards' 24-year history, the prizes were awarded to Adam Phillips, a postgraduate of the vehicle design course at the Royal College of Art (RCA). Phillips, who previously worked as a toy designer for Lego before studying at the RCA, scooped the awards with a concept on the modern family car that uses iPad-style technology called ‘Family Dynamic'.
