Land Rover Range-e plug-in diesel hybrid grabs SMMT Award
Wed, 23 Nov 2011Land Rover Range-e wins SMMT Award Just like every other car maker in the world, Jaguar Land Rover are flirting with and developing hybrid powerplants to keep the government-targeted economy and CO2 levels in check, even though neither Jaguar or Land Rover are close to actually launching a hybrid. Thanks to a thumbwheel on the back of the housing, coupled with a timing gear and offset crank journal, the thing actually moves in an approximation of epitrochoidal motion just like a real Wankel.
G25 axed from revised 2013 Infiniti lineup
Mon, 11 Jun 2012Infiniti will trim the G sedan model lineup for the 2013 model year while adding some extra power to the EX and FX crossovers in the form of the 3.7-liter V6 found in the G37. Per Infiniti's naming conventions, the EX35 and the FX35 will become the EX37 and FX37 when the 325-hp, 3.7-liter V6 is slotted under the hood. The result is a 28-hp gain over the current 3.5-liter V6.
