Install:

Install can be complicated, because the key receiving module (EIS) is in a very tight spot. However wiring is just plugging in and cannot be done wrong, because things only plug in where they go. After all units are installed, the car instantly works assuming car is good. The major complication you can have, is that your old steering lock may have to be drilled out, if the old system is not working to unlock it. The ESL steering lock requires the current key to be accepted in the key slot in order to be removed easily. Make sure everything is connected before attaching battery. And make sure battery has a good charge before attaching.

You can use this system if:

  • You lost keys
  • Your engine ECU is bad
  • You want to re-key
  • You want a working remote
  • Any of the above and you don't want to or can't involve a Mercedes dealer and their fees.

2015 Cadillac Escalade interior revealed

Tue, 01 Oct 2013

Cadillac teased the new Escalade last week, but today's shot is an uncamouflaged look at the interior, giving us a good idea of what the new luxo-barge will look like from the driver's seat. Caddy says the new interior combines handcrafted elements with new technology, using the company's cut-and-sew technique. The central part of the instrument cluster looks similar to other current Cadillacs with the CUE system and swipe-touch buttons.
