BMW M Performance Automobiles Geneva 2012 launch

BMW X6 M50d - likely to one of the first BMW M Performance Division cars BMW has announced that they are to create a new division of cars -  BMW M Performance Automobiles – to sit below BMW M. This week is the Detroit Auto Show, but car makers are already releasing details of their offerings for the next car show at Geneva in March. Today, BMW has joined that list by announcing they will launch the  BMW M Performance Automobiles division at the Spring show.

Unveiled at the Los Angeles Motorshow this morning, Concept Tiguan gives a nine-tenths preview of what the production-ready Tiguan will look like when it arrives here in January 2008. It will initially arrive with a choice of front or all-wheel-drive, four engines – two petrol and two advanced ‘Clean TDI’ diesel units – and six-speed manual or DSG transmission.

Mini John Cooper Works GP special edition announced

The first Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works GP was produced in 2006 to mark the end of the first generation of the Mini developed by BMW. Only 2,000 were produced. Mini is bringing the GP name back in 2012, in the same limited amount, with the cars arriving at dealerships later this year.
