Used Mercedes wheel I found on my property.  I don't know anything about it, why it was left in the weeds etc.  I think it must have been there over 10 years.  I cleaned it and painted it as close to the original color match I could find from Auto Zone, Ford silver.  It is not a perfect match, but did come out decent.  There are some small dents or "dingers" in the wheel that probably occurred over the years, but the new paint masks them pretty well.  This is NOT A SHOW CAR WHEEL.  Do not buy if you want a perfect match to original wheel color.  I will include the empty can of paint that I used so you can buy more to paint other wheels if so desired.  This includes the cap.  The price includes FREE shipping to the lower 48 states.  Ask questions if you have them as once it's sold, it's sold.

GM Europe weeks from running out of cash

Tue, 03 Mar 2009

By Phil McNamara Motor Industry 03 March 2009 19:03 GM Europe will run out of cash ‘early in the second quarter’ of 2009, unless the divison secures $3.3bn in funding from European governments. Speaking today (Tuesday 3 March), GM chief operating officer Fritz Henderson revealed that insolvency loomed, due to the plunge in European car sales and GM’s liquidity crisis in North America. He ruled out a swift cash injection from private investors, saying that no talks had taken place and that lengthy negotiations and due diligence would take too long.

Caterham creates next car online

Wed, 05 Nov 2008

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 05 November 2008 10:08 Caterham has turned to cyberspace to design its next model – the low-volume carmaker is calling on fans around the world to log onto a bespoke website to submit their ideas and designs for every aspect of the new Caterham, before ultimately voting on what makes it to the final vehicle. The website – www.splitwheel.com - will act as a forum, hosting blogs, articles and what Caterham calls ‘a Wikipedia-style user-edited knowledge base’ to turn user input into a workable vehicle design. A comprehensive voting system that covers all aspects of the car will then be initiated, and once the final specification is agreed a prototype will be produced with initial production slated for 2011.

Mercedes S350 CDI BlueEfficiency – U.S. bound

The Merc S350 CDI BlueEfficiency - US bound We should feel happy for our colonial cousins. The decimation of the car industry in the States through this recession has introduced them to the joys that are European-focused cars. Cars slightly smaller than the Ark Royla that can actually go round corners and don’t need a petrol pump in your back garden.
