This special hub is to be placed on MB R107 SL 560 or SL500 R129 which were fitted previously with Airbag
This hub does not have an airbag integrated, when placing this hub you will not have an Airbag anymore on the steering wheel.
Many early German delivered R107 Mercedes or R129 did not have an Airbag. (Option)
This hub is collapsible which means that it will retract itself in case of a collision.
This special MB Nardi hub was specialy made for R107 560 SL and R129 SL500, is excentric with 1″ over the center which brings the steering wheel 1" above the center of the hub to improve the visibility of the board instruments as the wooden rim is standing 1 inch higher.

Fri, 30 Jul 2004Jul 30, 2004 - Milan's Scuola Politecnica di Design has announced the new edition of the Masters course in Transportation Design, which will be held in partnership with Lamborghini. The Masters Course, starting in October 2004, will be coordinated by Marco Bonetto with the support of Walter De' Silva, Design Director Audi-Seat-Lamborghini and Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Designer Lamborghini. As part of the 2004-2005 edition of the Masters course, students from all over the world will take part in the development of a new concept car for the prestigious Italian car maker, which is now part of the Audi Volkswagen Group.

Even though Cars UK didn’t get an invite we decided to shove up a review of the Rapide covering what we knew from all the bumph Aston Martin had sent us and the opinions we’d formed from seeing the car.
