Mercruiser 305 350 Transom Assembly W/rams Alpha 1 Gen1 Serviced & Ready To Run on 2040-parts.com
Chico, California, US
This Mercury transom assembly (fits years 1983 to 1991 Alpha 1 Generation 1 Mercruiser) came from a 1991 Bayliner with a 5.0L 305 CID 8 cylinder engine with ~ 350 hours. The transom assembly was replaced as part of my vessel upgrade (bought a 5.7L crate engine and upgraded to Gen 2 transom), so I'm selling parts from the original engine that I consider to be in good working condition.
Reasonably clean condition, no significant corrosion (see pictures). This has seen brackish water in the San Francisco Bay a couple of times but is mostly freshwater use. Always flushed. This was serviced by my local Mercruiser dealer to make ready fro sale as part of my boat upgrade. Good rubber all around: good bellows, good water hose, new shifter boot, shifter cable tests OK, cleaned and lubricated, fully operational. RAMS are fully functional and the seals don't leak.
Brand NEW bearing installed! Includes NEW trim senders installed and tested.
Comes with sacrificial anode on base of transom housing.
Ships in an original Mercury shipping box to ensure it arrives safely, includes RAM stabilizing shipping clip installed by my dealer. (see pictures)
Separate transom mount plate for it is also available. Check out my other items!
Priced to sell. Will ship for FREE in continental USA.

Latest Saab production halt raises concern
Tue, 05 Apr 2011News today that Saab has halted production again, owing to problems paying suppliers, has raised further questions over the long-term financial viability of the independent car maker. Saab says it continues to negotiate with its local suppliers to ensure a supply of parts, but has declined to mention when production may resume. Didn't Saab have supplier issues last week?
Cars aren’t to blame for Global Warming – it’s down to fat people!
Tue, 21 Apr 2009Being fat creates an extra tonne of Co2 emissions a year Much as I’m prone to warn against blindly believing the ‘Cars are destroying the Planet’ mantra we hear every day, it’s not me laying the blame at the feet of our chubby readers. The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicines has made the claim, for a variety of reasons, explained by Dr Phil Edwards who said “Walking around in a heavy body is like driving a gas guzzler”. But of course, that needs a little extra explanation to put it in to context.
Lexus GS Coupe in the pipeline?
