Mercruiser 7.4L 454 MPI Gen 6 Complete Engine

Engine is currently running & installed in a 2000 Chaparral 240 SSI

700 hours – Boat & Engine were kept indoors in a rack. Engine was flushed after each use.

All maintenance by Chaparral dealer, in Williamstown, NJ until 9/2013.

2009: New starter

2012: New alternator; new oil pan

2014 / 520 hours: New fuel pump & engine coupler

2015 / 620 hours: manifolds & risers; power steering cooler; water pump impellor; thermostat; all hoses; serpentine belt; spark plugs; ignition coil; cap & rotor

I purchased the boat in 9/2013 from the Chaparral dealer Cecil Marine in Williamstown, NJ. The boat was one owner. It was rack stored indoors in Somers Point Marina.

After 9/2013 I performed the engine preventative maintenance. I’m obsessive compulsive about my boat maintenance and replace parts long before they are due. Boating season is short in NJ & I hate to loose use of my boat during the season.

Oil pressure and engine temp are perfect. The engine does not make a sound, knock, tick, thump, or bump.

If you purchase before the engine is removed, we can take it for a sea trial. After it is removed in late July this year, it will be running outside the boat.

TRANSOM ASSEMBLY (sold separately):

20102: new trim rams

2015: full service; new bellow; trim senders; exhaust tube; raw water transfer upgraded to new style hose

Young drivers risking lives by 'neglecting eyesight'

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

ONE IN SEVEN young drivers put themselves and other road users in danger because of poor vision and problems with their eyesight, according to a new study. The survey, conducted on behalf of thinkaboutyoureyes.co.uk found that those in the 18-24 age bracket were far more likely than older drivers to have problems driving because of bad vision. While more than half of drivers over 55 are required to wear glasses or corrective lenses when driving compared to just a third of young drivers, almost one in ten young drivers believe they actually probably should be wearing glasses when they drive.
