I have been working on Mercury outboards since 1986 and most of that time spent in Salt water.I apprenticed under a 30 year Master Tech in 1986 and since then have been going to an authorized Mercury training Facility almost every year since.I have also broadened that scope of factory authorized training to include:Mercury,Mariner,Force,Mercruiser,Evinrude,Johnson,OMC Cobra,Volvo Penta,Yamaha and Suzuki.Also RV and transport training through Featherlite Luxury motor coach division and the Featherlite Nascar Transport/trailer division.I will supply anyone that requests a copy of the original Factory certificates of training to prove that my diagnostics are by the book.If it does not pass OEM specifications it will be listed as such.So you can bid with confidence and know that what has been written in the items description has been done by someone that has had factory training and not by someone under a shade tree. Application:This is an as is no warranty Mercruiser Apha 1 5.7 or 7.4 Litre outdrive and will fit all model Alpha 1 from 1983 to 1990.May fit some 5.0 L HO applications but check with me first BEFORE you bid so I can make sure it will work for your application.This will not fit any Bravo applications. History:This was Salvaged from a 1985 25 foot SeaRay 5.7L V-8 engine .No water or metal in gear lube.Inspection of upper gear set ok.Drive shifts mechanically OK. Passes 15 psi vacume and pressure test. Fresh water only drive,no salt water use or heavy corrosion noticed during inpection.Comes with an aluminum 19 pitch prop .Cosmetic paint is peeling and you will need to clean with a wire brush and prime/painted. .A new water pump needs to be installed before it is put into operation.Also i have filled it with premium gear lube to keep internal components from rusting but it will need to be drained and filled with Mercruiser HP gearlube. Overall mechanical condition good with poor cosmetic condition.It has a heavy duty 1:50 gear set and was designed for larger boats ,larger engine,or up to 330 hp applications. Japan quake delays redesigned Nissan Titan until 2014 model year
Mon, 21 Nov 2011The March earthquake in Japan has forced NIssan to delay the introduction of the revived Titan pickup until the 2014 model year. The quake required a redeployment of engineers to get Nissan production back into operation, says a top Nissan executive. "We will come out a little later now," Andy Palmer, Nissan Motor Co.'s executive vice president for vehicle planning and program management, told Automotive News during the Los Angeles auto show.
