Who's Where: Bryan Nesbitt and Ken Parkinson switch roles within GM Design

General Motors has announced a change within its Global Design organization that will effectively see Bryan Nesbitt and Ken Parkinson switch roles from August 1 this year. Bryan Nesbitt, who has been executive director North American Exterior Design and Global Architecture Strategy, has been appointed vice president of GMIO Design. The appointment will see Nesbitt relocate to Shanghai, China, and serve as the lead voice for Design in the GMIO region.

Porsche buys Nardo for high-speed tests

Porsche has announced it is to take ownership of the famous Nardo Proving Ground in southern Italy. The company's engineering consultancy wing, the Porsche Engineering Group, will assume ownership as of May 2012. Nardo is currently owned by Italian firm Prototipo SpA.  No fee has been disclosed by either party.

2012 Toyota Avensis - teased ahead of Frankfurt 2011 As Frankfurt draws close its Toyota’s turn to reveal their 2011 offerings at the show, which will include the 2012 facelift Toyota Avensis. The new Avensis is the only Toyota at Frankfurt we haven’t already seen, and Toyota hasn’t done much more than send us the teaser photo you see at the top. But we do know Toyota re claiming the 2012 Avensis is the ‘Most expensive mid-life facelift’ they have ever undertaken.
