Revealed at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance – where Bugatti was one of the featured marques – the Sang Bleu is the first limited edition of the targa-top Grand Sport, which was itself first unveiled at the Pebble Beach 12 months ago.Sang Bleu? Jody Scheckter – the last man to give Ferrari a world championship in 1979 before Michael Schumacher stepped in – has traded in the glamour of the pit lane for farming. The owner of the award-winning Laverstoke Park farm and acclaimed organic expert, South Africa-born Scheckter has sealed a deal with Mercedes-Benz World to supply the experience centre’s Gullwing Restaurant with organic food from his Hampshire farm.

McLaren’s P1 supercar trundled out for its first official drive-by today, when F1 driver Jenson Button drove it into McLaren’s Woking citadel before unveiling his 2013 race car. The stunt confirmed that the P1 can manoeuvre on electric power alone, unlike Button’s MP4-28: the race car’s hybrid KERS system is used to deliver a short power boost to supplement the V8. McLaren predicts the P1’s electric-only mode is a capability its forthcoming Ferrari rival (codenamed F150) won’t be able to match.
