Survey: 1 in 4 drivers break law every day
Fri, 29 Nov 2013In a survey of British motorists, 78% of drivers admitted to breaking the law whilst driving – and 27% revealed they do so on a daily basis. The most common offence is speeding, but nearly half of those questioned confessed to using their mobile to phone or text from behind the wheel, and a remarkable 41% said they had driven without wearing a seatbelt. Volkswagen's de'Silva aims for positive influence on Porsche styling
Mon, 11 Oct 2010Volkswagen Group design director Walter de'Silva hopes to add "something positive" to the design of Porsche's new models, beginning with the Cajun SUV. Porsche AG is set to become Volkswagen AG's 10th brand and Porsche design director Michael Mauer now reports to de'Silva, along with the heads of the styling centers of the other VW group brands such as Skoda, Seat, Bentley and Lamborghini. De'Silva said he has just started working with Mauer and their relationship is off to a good start.
Hyundai Genesis sedan loses an engine option, gains more tech for 2013
Thu, 16 Aug 2012Hyundai is dropping the 4.6-liter V8 in the Genesis sedan lineup for 2013. The 5.0-liter V8 will continue in the R-Spec model, while the rest will get Hyundai's 3.8-liter V6. Hyundai has also enhanced the optional eight-inch Driver Information System, which is now more intuitive, with a rotating joystick, better voice recognition and improved navigation-screen layouts.
