Brand:Mercruiser Stroke:any Engine(HP):any Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Manufacturer Part Number:45520 Pre-Alpha Hydraulic Ram OEM:Mercruiser Pre-Alpha Hydraulic Ram rams OEM

These are for what I call Mints, great condition Cleaned, tested, inspected and RE-painted!

One of the pictures show 4 but this ad is for 2 and these are reversable side to side! The serial number on these is 45520. Any Mercruiser or Mercury part with the letter A in it stands for aftermarket and they do not last as long as OEM Mercury like these.

I am the only one I know of that offers a 2 year warrantee and have extended it up to 3 Years on all seals.

As a standard anything with red background in pictures is a second and with a yellow background a first/mint. But it is cosmetic and everything I sell works as it should or I replace at my expense not yours!

Mercruiser Pre-Alpha Hydraulic Ram rams 1970/1983 2nd's 931-589-2352 Shock OEM As Good as it gets for pre-owned seconds (CHEAPER). Up to 3 year warrantee on seals! Tech support is FREE!

I have these listed as Remanufactured because they made it through 3 differant tests and are better than just used. Usually if you have to take these apart and put in new seals it is because of metal Fatigue and new seals will go bad in 2 to 3 months. When I actually rebuild these and put in new seals I sell them for  $150 a set and no warrantee because they cannot be trusted.

I stand behind all my items to a point that if I make a mistake I pay all shipping to make it right and all I ask is if you make a mistake and buy the wrong rams you pay the extra shipping to make it right! I try my best not to make any mistakes but I am not perfect no matter how hard I try. Please feel free to call 1-931-589-2352, message me or send me pictures. I can pretty much Identify any Mercruiser gimbal/hydraulic or exhaust part made.

I have second run (minor pitting or bad paint job) listed as well in another listing for less money but are not as nice. I also have hydraulic lines listed in another ad for these for $50

The pictures are of first run rams that I have listed in another auction for $185.00. The seconds have minor pitting or a bad paint job because they may have been painted with bottom paint. I never post actual pictures and don’t have time to send actual pictures. But you will always get as good as discribed.

These can be used on Alpha One Generation One but you would need the lines and shorter mounting shafts.

Mercruiser Pre Alpha Power tilt/trim Ram Cylinder 45520 1970's/1983 931-589-2352

I have tape measure next to these so you can see length and also notice the ring side of ram both lines go in next to each other and drive ends can be either style collared or strait weld on end.

This sale is for 1 set (2) Pre alpha Rams.

I don’t have the time to take pictures of each set of cylinders. I sell 2 or 3 sets a daily.

Don't forget to check my e-bay store for many other Mercruiser pumps, hydraulic lines, rams, cylinders, exhaust pipes & gimbals’!

The easiest way to find your items is enter my store and choose a category on the left!

If these develop a leak in the next few years I will replace a ram with no charge. You just pay shipping back to me and I pay to return you a non-leaking ram.

Message me if you need a set of ram shafts, washers, rubbers & nuts. But they may be in another sale in my e-bay store.

These are 4.8 out of 5 star! And I will stand behind them! But I would Appreciate a 5 star rating when they arrive as discribed!

Some sellers don’t take the time to test, clean, prepare and paint correctly. It is time consuming but I want to make sure my customers have the rams ready to mount and go! Myself I would always put a coat of paint on my rams before putting them in the water each year just to protect them.

In fact some sellers advertise that they are not already painted as a bonus! (Don’t Figure)

These are for Pre-Alpha if you use the smaller rams!

These Rams are in great shape. For used 4.5 out of 5 Star rating!

These rams are serial number is 45520 & 45520 they are reversible!

A way to be sure you have the standard Pre-alpha rams 45520 is to be sure both lines come out of the end closest to the boat.

There is some bigger cylinders that both lines go into in the same area but the boats that have them also have a transmission inside the boat between the engine and transom and the bigger rams have numbers like 47342 & 47343.

If you are not sure what rams to buy call me while you are near the boat and I will ask a few questions or send me a few pictures or serial numbers and I should be able to match you up. I have over 500 Mercruiser rams in stock!

The Alpha One Generation One, Two & bravo rams are larger and one of the 2 lines runs up the side of the cylinder and screws in toward the opposite end of the ram.

I tested these rams and they did not leak. I ran it all the way in and out several times. These are clean and they work great. We work on gimbals, rams & pumps all winter for each season.

These rams are from a 1960/80's boat.

Look at my feedback I believe in honesty.

These rams run around $200 each so save some bucks here.

I am offering a warrantee of 2 Years Yes 2 years On all hydraulics!

Shipping rates are based on US continental rates $15.00!

If you don’t see shipping amount message me for international shipping quote.

By the way Great news, eBay has taken over the Resolution Center and when you buy you are safer. EBay is even charging the seller return shipping and you get all your money back for junk that was listed as good working order. If you bought junk from someone and you need advise on how to return call me 931-589-2352. I will be glad to help.

Here is a hint for you, most of the states are fine for buying boat parts but try and stay away from Florida! 80% of my eBay purchases from Florida of used boat parts are bad and must be returned.

Here is a hint for buying pumps on e-bay, if in the item description it states untested, unknown, no way of testing, don't know how to test or has not been tested you can count on it is junk! Also people selling pumps on e-bay will state pump is guaranteed to work perfectly, The pump could be working perfectly but that does not mean that the motor works at all or that the solenoids are good. Or they will state that the motor works perfectly but that does not mean the reservoir isn’t cracked or that the pump is good is any good or even that the threads for the lines are not stripped out. I buy these pumps on e-bay all the time and on the average it takes two pumps to make one! You should never pay over $50 for a used pre-alpha pump on e-bay or over $75 for a used Alpha/bravo pump on e-bay because odds are that you will have to spend about $100 to get the pump you bought working correctly.

I buy these pumps on e-bay and in bulk all the time. My point is that about 95% of the pumps I get have issues. Bad motor, bad solenoids, incorrectly wired or just all gummed up inside the reservoir. Let’s face it people sell there junk on e-bay. Buy from me and you only have to buy one replacement.

The threads are all checked and rechecked 5 times and then checked again before shipping to be sure the line threads are good. Before you even think about installing the rams or taking the rams to have them installed look at the threads because stripped out threads are not covered under warrantee! Finger tighten 2 complete turns in first before using a wrench. (Hint) Also double check the lines you are using on the rams and make sure the threads are good on the lines, sometimes when removing lines from old rams you can tear out the old threads from the old rams and have them stuck in the lines and then when you try installing the lines in good threaded rams you can strip out the good line threads. Basically check all threads male and female on both rams and lines!
