(2) Mercruiser Seawater Raw Water Pump Stainless Steel Wear Plate Kits

Don't spend nearly $600 on a new pump because your cover plate housing has been grooved!

For about 1/10 of the price you buy our STAINLESS STEEL wear plate kit! It will solve your cavitation and overheat issues due to a worn cover plate housing on the mercruiser bronze pumps.

Does your boat overheat and set off the alarm due to low water pressure? Even after replacing your impeller? Then it's probably due to the seawater pump cover having been scored by the impeller thus causing the pump to cavitate.

Tested and proven to stop low water pressure alarms on the 496 mags, 8.1, and 350 mag pumps # 46-862914T10 or 46-862914T12 (check to make sure that one of these is your pump).

This kit will work on any of the 2009 and prior pumps. The picture below shows the worn & grooved housing next to our retrofit wearplate!

Your boat does not have to overheat anymore! I have these ready to ship & I usually ship the next day! If you place your order early, I may ship that day!! I have sold hundreds of these kits....

Comes with:
  • (2) 16G CNC Cut Stainless Steel Wear Plates
  • Complete Installation Instructions
  • (2)Tubes of Sealant (Permatex 22071)

Note! The new 2010 pumps have wear plates but cannot be backfitted.

Manufacturer's suggested retail price USD $79.99 (per kit)

Here is a recent email I received from a satisfied customer:

Dennis,
Thank you so much! It did arrive and we installed it just last night. The boat runs like new! You're a genius. Did you invent this due to your own bad experience with that type of waterpump or did someone come to you with a problem?
My friends were amazed and all had that same question. I wish you luck and great fortune with your invention!

A very grateful customer.

Bentley will return to top-level motorsport

Fri, 12 Aug 2011

Bentley will return to top-level motorsport, new chief executive Wolfgang Durheimer has revealed. Bentley pulled out of racing after its 2001-2003 stint at Le Mans, culminating in an outright win in its last year at the 24-hour race. But Durheimer, who was previously Porsche's R&D chief and who now runs the Volkswagen Group's entire motorsport division, is keen that Bentley will return to the track and revive Crewe's long and storied motorsport history.

BMW i8 Spyder What looks set to be the BMW i8 Spyder, an open top version of BMW’s i8 eco supercar, has leaked ahead of a debut at the Beijing Motor Show. The gestation period for BMW’s i8 eco supercar started with the reveal of the BMW Vision ED Concept back in 2009, with a production concept – and the BMW i8 name – arriving last summer. And now, ahead of a debut at the Beijing Motor Show in April we get the first photos of the BMW i8 Spyder.

This is the beginning of what hopefully becomes a weekly feature here at Autoweek.com. Your job as the reader is to figure out what car we were reviewing when we wrote these lines way back in 2004. This is a closed book test, so there will be no Googling of the answers.
