As long as these starters do not get submerged and your electrical system is up to par they generally last up to 10 years. This starter will fit most 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder, and 8 cylinder mercruiser inboard engines with an off set bolt pattern! These new starters replace the old style large mercruiser starters. They are smaller and higher torque. If your boat is equipped with a large starter you will need to order a starter bolt kit as well. Message us if you need the bolts as well. The old style large starters are no longer available. If your starter has a straight bolt pattern we also stock that as well. It is recommended you check your bolt pattern before ordering to ensure proper fitment.
