This is a used Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 transom assembly. It does not come with the bell housing or the rams. The gimble bearing is in good condition and feels unworn. The aluminium around the gimble bearing is also in good condition to which the bellows fit to. Steering is also in good condition. It may require new trim limit indicators.  What you see in the pictures is what you get . It also comes with the inner plate which is not shown. This would make a good replacement for somebody with a corroded transom assembly.

Winners in the fourth Chinese Auto Design Awards have finally been announced. Held at the China Agriculture Film and Television Center in Beijing, the glamourous ceremony saw awards given to two groups; students and automotive manufacturers. Amongst the automotive groups, it was GAC Trumpchi that was awarded the ‘Best Design Innovation Award', whilst Buick's picked up the ‘Golden Dot Award' for its ‘Envision' concept car.

'Bin the booster', says car seat maker

A CAR CHILD seat manufacturer is urging parents to bin booster seats amid claims of ‘dangers’ involved in using them for older kids. Britax, which manufactures child seats for youngsters up to 135cm tall, or about 12 years old, claims that its own research suggests 49% of seating setups for 4-12-year-olds could be unsafe. Some form of child seat is legally required until a child reaches 135cm in height, to ensure that the seat belt crosses their chest at the correct and safe height, but Britax claims to have found many belts to have been fitted incorrectly.
