BMW has revealed its first ever M Sport 7-series, engine revisions for its best-selling 730d, and a new 740d that will become the most powerful ever Seven diesel when in goes on sale in September 2009.
There's an M Aerodynamic bodykit with bigger front and rear bumpers, questionable chrome highlights, and some rather tasty 19-inch twin-spoke alloys. On the inside brushed aluminium trim, an anthracite headlining, sport seats, an M Sport steering wheel and M Sport sill inlays complete the package.
Afraid not - the 740d is equipped with a 306bhp/443lb ft 3.0-litre twin-turbo engine. The result is a 0-62 sprint completed in just 6.3 seconds, a limited top speed of 155mph top speed, 40.9mpg on the combined cycle and CO2 emissions of just 181g/km.
THE LATEST automotive search data from leading independent digital marketing agency, Greenlight, reveals Porsche and Jaguar have replaced Toyota and Citroen to become two of the ten most popular car brands that UK consumers have been eyeing up online. Greenlight’s quarterly report identified the most popular search terms and phrases consumers used when they searched on Google UK for cars in November, and ascertained which car manufacturer and dealer sites were most visible to their searches. According to the firm’s research, over 11 million searches were made by consumers looking for cars online, up almost 5% on the previous quarter.

The Veritas RS II is powered by BMW’s V10 from the M5, but with no ABS and no traction control, it’s going to be a hairy-chested drive. And you’ll probably need a set of goggles to stop every flying creature from being embedded in your eyeballs as the Veritas doesn’t even have a windscreen. The Veritas isn’t high on creature comforts either, and comes in a 1+1 configuration, with a cover over the passenger side that can be removed to take a brave passenger.
