Mercury 9.8 Model 110 Short Shaft Outboard Low Hours Very Clean You Pick Up Only on 2040-parts.com

This is a used 1978 Mercury 9.8, model 110, 2 stroke, short shaft outboard motor, 50:1 fuel ratio, with a 3 gallon plastic gas tank.

This motor has very low hours, probably 5 hours or less.  It was originally purchased new by a sail boater.  It was then purchased by a fishing buddy of mine for a trolling motor, of which he never used and was inside storage after all this time. I have been wrenching on boats all my life.  After I saw what condition the motor was in I accepted it as payment on marine mechanical work for him.  I put a new water pump impeller in it, changed gear oil and serviced the carburetor.  When you come to pick up this motor it will be started up so you can hear and see it run before payment.  This motor is very clean and in excellent running condition.  Remember, this is a you pick up item only in Lorain, OH.
