“Motor is in excellent condition, no sleeves in bores all Nikasil, all the cylinders look beautiful no wear or marks in cylinders what so ever, all 6 are Mahle pistons, perfect 120 psi on all 6 cylinders with no variance. No damage to motor anywhere, very nice condition.”

 Up for auction is a 2.4 liter 245 hp Mercury Bridgeport 20" race outboard motor. This motor is in excellent condition inside and out. We pulled heads and inspected bores, no scoring, scratches, uneven wear what so ever to cylinder walls. All 6 cylinders are Nikasil there are no sleeves in this motor.  We tested and cleaned the injectors, motor starts right up and runs fantastic!! This motor has the true offshore ridgeback midsection with studs for wingplate on back.  We put brand new two stage carbon fiber seven petal reeds in it, new head gaskets of course, and lower unit has been freshly gone through, new water pump impeller. Lower unit is a 4 hole CLE. Selling as is with no warranty as it is a used race motor. These Bridgeports are very very hard to find, and finding one in this condition is even harder!!!

SEAT HAS completed construction of the largest solar panel installation in the automotive industry. The huge 'Seat al Sol' array at the firm’s Martorell plant outside Barcelona is the size of 40 football pitches and generates 15 million kilowatt hours of power per year courtesy of the reliable Spanish sunshine. The electricity produced is enough to account for a quarter of the amount needed to build a year’s allocation of Leons, reducing the factory’s energy bills significantly and saving 7,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

Flavour of the month, stop-start, and here’s another to add to the list. The Fiat 500 gets Start&Stop (I’ve lost count of the different monikers) as an option on the 1.2 Lounge, using Bosch technology to beef up the system to make it reliable. The Stop/Start also gets another Fiat moniker – Blue&Me – which gives the driver EcoDrive to aid emissions and adds hands-free phone and an entertainment system.
