Some years back, when I had fallen on hard times, a friend tried to help me by buying a used 1992 Mercury Grand Marquis so that I would have transportation. Although I was, and always will be, grateful for the gesture, I'll always be resentful of the scoundrel who sold this piece of junk to an unsuspecting do-gooder! The automatic windows didn't work - which we didn't know until we spent the winter driving with the driver's side window down; the lever for the gas tank did not function (we had to open the trunk and pull a cord inside every time we bought gasoline); and many other things to ridiculous to mention. The only problem I was able to get fixed was the was the battery kept coming loose....once I bought a car battery, to replace the RIDE-ON MOWER BATTERY that was in it at the time of sale, it didn't short out any mre! It's just too bad the car wasn't in the great shape the owner's manual was in!! There's a nice faux leather zippered case, with the logo embossed on the front. Inside the case are the owner's manual, an owners guide supplement, the warranty information booklet, a pamphlet on maintaining the beauty of the new vehicle, and a booklet on the Ford electronic sound Systems (although there was no sound system by the time I took possession). Unless otherwise requested, this will be shipped by First Class Mail through the Postal Service in a padded envelope, without tracking numbers, to keep the shipping cost down. I will keep a follow-up until it is acknowledged, so your feedback could tell me it has arrived safely (otherwise, after a reasonable time, I will e-mail to check on it.) It will be protectively packaged to prevent damage. If the shipping cost seems a little high, it is because I had to adjust the charge, due to eBay's policy of charging sellers 10% of the shipping charge. You pay only what it costs me, nothing more. I am REALLY sorry I can't afford free shipping, but I will gladly combine shipping on multiple items! |

BMW Alpina B7 gets power boost for 2013
Fri, 15 Jun 2012The 2013 BMW Alpina B7, the performance version of the German automaker's 7-series sedan, gets an additional 40 hp--and a more costly sticker price--for the new model year. BMW plans to roll out the 2013 model at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in August and begin sales soon thereafter. Under the hood, power from the 4.4-liter V8 has been increased from 500 to 540 hp with the addition of BMW's throttle-less Valvetronic intake system.
