Hyundai sees 10 percent mpg gain from its first direct-injection engine

Hyundai Motor Co. on Tuesday unveiled its first direct-injection gasoline engine, saying it delivers more power with a 10 percent improvement in fuel economy. The 2.4-liter engine, called the Theta II, will debut in the redesigned Sonata sedan, due in U.S.

Chevrolet Orlando MPV Paris debut

The Chevrolet Orlando MPV (left) seems a bit bland after the concept (right) Chevrolet first penned the idea of the Chevrolet Orlando with a concept in 2008 (which you can see on the right in the picture above). That has now turned in to the production Orlando which will debut at the Paris Motor Show in October, but it does seem to have lost something in the process of going from concept to production. Valuable 1932 Ford stolen before Goodguys car show, recovered the next day

Authorities have recovered a valuable Ford Deuce coupe stolen before the Goodguys car show last weekend in Indianapolis. The 1932 Ford, estimated to be worth $300,000, was taken on Friday from a car hauler in a hotel parking lot, the Indiana State Police said. The car was found in the driveway of a vacant house on the city's southwest side after being spotted by a citizen who tipped off police.
