Queen’s hat causes car problem in France
Mon, 02 Jun 2014Renault | AP The French president has a problem: it turns out none of the Citroen cars currently at his disposal are large enough to accommodate the Queen’s customary hats. So for Her Majesty’s state visit on 6 June, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of D-Day, president Francois Hollande has ordered an old Renault out of retirement to make sure the Queen has the necessary headroom. Volvo S60 R-Design won on Facebook by ‘The Lake District’
Wed, 03 Aug 2011Volvo Greatest Drive Winner – The Lake District You may remember we reported in June that Volvo had gone slightly bonkers and decided to give away a brand spanking new S60 to whoever submitted the ‘Greatest Drive’ on Facebook; the route that offered not just great scenery but a great driving experience too. And Volvo didn’t skimp on the competition, with not just an astonishingly good prize but also the services of Robert Llewellyn to drive an S60 round the three routes initially voted the best (curious, that – we didn’t know Bobby could drive a car without an electric motor), with videos posted so Volvo’s Facebook fans could make a proper decision on what really was the ‘Greatest Drive’. And the winner was ‘The Lake District’.

Wed, 02 Dec 2009No it’s not a bastardised four-door version of a mid-1990s Hyundai coupé, this is the Infiniti M, a rear-drive executive saloon with its sights set firmly on BMW’s new 5-series. It’s actually the third iteration of the M, but the first to come to Britain. Like other Infinitis it will be strong on value and equipment and features some novel safety systems, including a next-generation blindspot assistant and active noise cancellation.
