I bought a vintage MGD boat thinking I was going to restore it, but as I looked over it I determined it was way to much work for me. good thing it came with this mercury mariner 2 stroke 6cy 150hp boat motor, maybe get some of the money back, I am selling this as a project motor, even though it does run its been sitting for a few years, first it came without a key, so we took the ignition out of it and had one made, cut the gas line going into the boat tank and used a one gallon jug of mix, because of the gas in the boat tank was old,  sprayed the cylinders with wd oil and turned it over a few times, put in 6 new spark plugs, and a set of boat muffs on, the starter stuck a few times, sprayed it with oil and it than engaged and the motor started,   however went to lift the high idle handle it was sticking, I think maybe we did not get it back together right, let it run for about a minute and shut it off,  however with the muffs on there was no water coming out the water port, so I don't know if the pump is not working or is it just stuck, also the power tilt does work fine.  whatever the case I am just going to sell it as a PROJECT MOTOR) as is, nothing hidden in this description, I never had a boat and know nothing about them, must be a midlife crises, the serial number on the tag is 0C274293 I could not find a year on it. there is a pc of fin broke off on the very bottom of the prop (see photos) the cowling has some scraps and scratches, you are bidding on the motor only, you can have the controls and key throttle ignition ECT, you can even have the boat and trailer with it if you want it, but you are not obligated to nothing but the motor, it is a 1978 MFG fiberglass boat with title, the trailer has no title, I am calling the boat and trailer scrap but maybe you can hook on to the whole thing and pull it home (2 inch ball )  take a look at the photos and ask questions, buyer is responsible for pickup in PA 15943. buyer is to pay through paypal before pickup. thanks for looking and good luck bidding,
