Audi has recently teamed up with Head to produce these lightweight skis. Far from being the first manufacturer to dabble with downhill equipment, Audi claims that its expertise in motorsport has resulted in a ski that is significantly lighter than its nearest competitor. Taking Audi's knowledge of carbon fiber in motorsport and combining it with Head's extensive background in skiing, the duo have created a significantly lighter ski than those from other industry competitiors.

Lexus sketches future compact for the Frankfurt motor show

Lexus is jumping into the compact fray and has released a sketch of a concept that will be revealed at the Frankfurt motor show on Sept. 15. Lexus says the premium small car will make a design and technology statement, though further details are not available.

Built to FIA GT3 spec, the ‘evolution’ cars will be delivered by mid-April 2010. Introduced in 2009, the the R8 LMS won three championship titles and 23 wins out of 73 races in its first year.What has Audi changed on the updated R8 LMS?The updated car includes changes to the chassis and suspension, a new six-speed sequential gearbox and a revised cooling system to improve the car’s performance in high ambient temperatures.
