Wed, 13 Jun 2012The first BMW i Store has opened in London’s Park Lane and previews a new version of the BMW i3 Concept fitted with BMW i Pedelec Concept bicycles. Despite BMW appearing to go cool on their Project i, the first BMW i Store has opened in Park Lane, London. Positioned alongside the BMW Park Lane and MINI Park Lane Showrooms, the BMW i Park Lane Showroom has been opened to help car buyers get a better idea of what BMW i cars are all about ahead of the launch of the i3.

The 2013 Carens, the work of Peter Schreyer and his design team, was conceived around the theme of ‘dynamic space' and features a cab-forward design with a longer wheelbase, lower roofline and chrome beltline accent. Its 102.8mpg (UK) claim puts the current Jazz Hybrid’s figure of 62.8mpg in the shade, as well as that of the Toyota Yaris Hybrid with 81.0mpg. It will be shown at the Frankfurt motor show this September before arriving in UK showrooms in 2014.
