There is already an electric Ferrari powertrain in development and Ferrari have in effect been trialing hybrid technology with their F1 cars equipped with KERS. So it comes as no huge surprise that it’s being reported Ferrari are to bring a hybrid version of the 599 to the Geneva Motor Show next year.

But in the real world Jools has a beard, a pipe, leather elbow patches, a penchant for real ale and a passion for classic cars, one of which, a Jaguar E-Type S1 4.2 Lightweight Roadster, is about to go under the hammer at Brightwells.
Saab gets latest lifeline via $5 million infusion from Chinese company
Tue, 13 Dec 2011Saab has been on the edge of collapse since a cash shortage early this year forced it to halt production. Now Automotive News reports that a last-minute payment from China's Zhejiang Youngman Lotus Automobile has given the Swedish carmaker yet another shot. Youngman wants to get a stake in Saab and has taken the first step by giving the company $5 million to cover tax expenses, with another $26.43 million forthcoming for unpaid salaries and $13.18 million more before the end of December.
