Genuine OEM Mercury brand parts..the heavy-duty trim ram with the 1" rods complete with port side mounting bracket. Cylinder itself is the same port OR starboard; only the bracket differs. Aluminum castings in good shape; threads for inverted flair fittings OK. Bracket better than usable. Cylinder could conceivably require O-ring kit installed BUT I just installed the mate to this unit on a Merc 85 this week and it operated smooth and strong with no leaks. Lower mounting eyes have some rusting but will clean up and there's still plenty of 'meat' left. Starting bid reflects condition and scarcity. . If you have a high-performance Tower of Power especially if it's been hot-rodded for racing this is the trim cylinder you need. A hard job indeed, with the stunning looks of the Verve concept being carried through to the next-gen car. It hasn't stopped Ford trying hard though and, following in the footsteps of the Focus ST500 that was released in 2008, all Fiesta ST 500 models come in metallic black with a U-shaped stripe on the front. According to Ford, the new scheme is designed to echo the livery of the classic Escort RS2000 of the ‘70s.

The 1977 Ford Escort MK2 RS1800 Gp4 is, to many people, an icon of the golden age of rallying, and this example has huge provenance in its connections to Jimmy McRae and his two sons, the late Colin McRae and younger brother Alister.
