Merriman 1/2" chromed bronze toggle. Never used but it's been in my rigging bag for a number of years. There are some signs of tarnish but no wear. I'm 95% sure it's chromed bronze but I guess it could possibly be stainless. I'm doing the RV thing now, when I travel, so it's time to thin out my stash of sailing gear. (126)

Car hire costs branded ‘extortionate’

MORE THAN 45% of hire car users described hidden costs such as insurance and fuel as extortionate, according to a new survey. 200 UK consumers aged over 30 and earning more than £20,000 per annum were quizzed for the survey, conducted on behalf of Carhiremarket.com, with over 45% agreeing that hidden costs for insurance and fuel were extortionate. Users cited greater transparency or an all-inclusive upfront price as a more desirable option.

The Landaulet was first seen last November as a concept, and the production version will cost a staggering £678,000, which means taking the roof off a 62 S doubles its value. Or rather its price...
