Scuola Politecnica di Design Milan 2008
Tue, 05 Aug 2008The Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy, held the annual exhibition of its Master's course in Transportation Design this past June. Done in collaboration with Alfa Romeo, this year's final presentation was attended by Lorenzo Ramaciotti, Head of Styling for Fiat Group Automobiles and Maserati. The final thesis projects presented by the 15 students on the course answered a brief to design the next flagship sedan from Alfa Romeo.

Mon, 30 Mar 2009Rendering of the Ferrari F450 - due to show at Frankfurt in September and go on sale in 2010 But the new Ferrari F450 is getting closer, and spy shots of the F450 have enabled Auto Express to come up with a rendering that is, we reckon, near as dammit to the finished article due to be shown at Frankfurt in September. Sporting a pair of big side vents that have been enlarged to help the engine breathe and the brakes cool, the F450 is different enough to the F430 to set it apart as a new car – not just an evolution. The F450 is going to have to go upmarket to compete with the likes of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, and in an effort to compete Ferrari has upped the capacity of the F430, increased the rev limit and produced an engine that, in the F450, should deliver something around 500bhp.
Land Rover Discovery Vision concept car (2014): first glimpse
Wed, 02 Apr 2014Land Rover Land Rover has issued the first sneak peek at the new Land Rover Discovery Vision concept car, heralding the newly expanded Discovery range. Booming sales of SUVs have encouraged the British 4x4 specialist to grow its popular Discovery family into a whole range of off-roaders. The next Freelander due by early 2015 will be badged as part of the Discovery lineup, for instance.
