METRA 99-7309 Hyundai Elantra/Sonata'96-'00 '95-'01 Multi-Kit - New in Pkg.

Up for auction is this Auto Stereo
Installation System from Metra. It's
new in the package, though the packaging itself is a bit battered. This was
found high on a shelf during a recent tidying event. At one point we had a
1996 Elantra, and we figure this was bought for that car (that only makes
sense, right?) and somehow went unused. That is the full extent of our
knowledge on this kit. Everything else is right from the packaging:

This kit includes step-by-step instructions and all necessary brackets. It
has heavy duty ABS Plastic construction and factory style texture. It was
made in the USA by Metra Electronics Corporation in Daytona, Florida.
The manufacturer's part number is 99-7309. According to the packaging
it is
easy to install with no special tools required.
That is pretty much all I know about this lovely installation kit, but I
figure if you're looking for one you already know what you need it for, so
hopefully this is all the information you'll require. Thanks for your
interest!

We're busy digging through closets and cupboards to get a jump on
our spring cleaning and hopefully to get a little more organized in the
process. As we are a family and not a business, our listings often include
a random variety of items. I
f you check out our other auctions, you may
see something else you like, and we are always happy to combine
shipping.

Like feedback?  Please leave it for me when you receive your item and
I will be happy to leave it for you!

Italdesign Giugiaro releases ‘Timeline’ app

Thu, 23 Jun 2011

Italdesign Giugiaro has released a new app called the "Giugiaro Timeline", spanning the company's illustrious design history. Available for the iPhone 3G, the iPhone 4 and the iPod Touch (sorry Android and Blackberry users) the app enables design enthusiasts to check out some of the products the company has been responsible for since its inception in 1968 (the year the Bizzarrini Manta made its debut at the Turin motor show). Implemented by the Italian web agency Easybit, the Giugiaro Timeline for the iPhone and the iPod Touch offers the same features as the iPad version.

Volkswagen to take full control of Porsche

Thu, 05 Jul 2012

Volkswagen Group's decision to take full control of Porsche Automobil Holding SE's carmaking business is seen as positive by analysts. VW said it has agreed to buy the remaining 50.1 percent of Porsche SE's automotive business that it doesn't already own for 4.46 billion euros ($5.54 billion), ending a seven-year takeover saga that divided two of Germany's most powerful families. The agreement means Volkswagen can now fully fold the Porsche automaking business into its stable of brands, which range from Audi and Bentley sedans to Skoda and Seat volume models and Ducati motorbikes.

CCS Ford Model T project

Fri, 13 Jun 2008

This past semester, eleven junior-level College for Creative Studies (CCS) Transportation Design students were asked to reinterpret an automotive icon: the Ford Model T. Over the course of the 16-week semester the students created 11 different concepts for a Model T for the future without forgetting the underlying principle - creating an icon that would have equal significance and social impact like the 100 year old original.   On April 30 each of the students presented their research, sketches, renderings and one- quarter scale models judged by Peter Horbury, Ford Executive Director of Design, The Americas and Pat Schiavone, Ford's Design Director for North America Trucks and CUVs. The winning concept, which the judges thought best embodied the spirit, innovation and sociological impact equal to that of the original Model T, was created by Dong Tran, of Cicero, New York.
