DESCRIPTION - Item is in NEW condition, the packaging was opened for inspection only.  The item has never been installed.  See MFG website for manuals, specifications, and other general details.

OFFERS - If listed, I will entertain Best Offers for this item.  Unless the offer is close to the BIN price, I will let the offer ride for the full 48 hours.  I note this so that potential buyers will be aware that there is some risk associated with Best Offers.  Please make your actual Best Offer bid first and not just the cheapest offer that you think I will take and please don't write me to complain if the item is purchased during the waiting period by another buyer who is willing to pay full BIN.

LOCAL SALES - All of my items are for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time.

PAYMENT - Payments are accepted via PayPal only.  The item will not ship until the payment is free and clear and then only to a certified PayPal address.  If an issue with immediate payment comes up, I have no problem working with a buyer who first communicates this fact with me.  Auctions that go for over seven (7) days without communication or payment will be turned over to the eBay Resolution Center and the item shall be relisted at the end of that procedure.

SHIPPING - Shipping to North America and eBay Global is available for this item.  Bids placed for delivery to destinations outside of valid ones shall be cancelled.  I do not profit from shipping costs so actual shipping plus a small handling / packing materials cost is shown.  In case of accidental overcharge of shipping costs or for combined shipping a partial refund shall be credited to the auction account.  Handling time is two (2) days from auction payment.  Note that I will fill out customs forms ONLY for the value of the auction and not for a lesser amount, so please do not ask me to falsify a government document.

RETURNS - Returns for used auction items are not available.  Returns on items listed as new must be in their original and unopened packaging.  I do my best to describe items accurately but in case of any perceived discrepancy, please contact me first for resolution of the problem and I will do my best to be fair with you.  Items sold as 'for parts or not working' are sold as is and I will not accept returns on these items...what you see is what you get.  Please note that it is the buyer's responsibility to research the suitability of an item for their application and environmental conditions.  For example, I will not accept returns for items that do not do what the buyer thought they should do or do not work with the type of electrical power available in the buyer's area.

Saab: Vlad Rides to the Rescue

Sat, 16 Apr 2011

Vladimir Antonov rides in with €30 million for Saab's coffers It was always an odd move by GM, or the Swedish Government, or whoever it was that decided the deal  for Spyker to buy Saab could only go through if Spyker’s money man – Vladimir Antonov – stepped down. It’s understandable if you have genuine concerns about the credentials of a party to the deal, but taking Vlad out of the equation was an accident waiting to happen. Without Vlad there was no financial safety net for Saab.

Peugeot HX1 Concept – a low-riding MPV – to debut at Frankfurt 2011

Mon, 29 Aug 2011

Peugeot HX1 Concept – a low-slung MPV Don’t look at the Peugeot HX1 Concept and think you’ll be walking in to your local Peugeot showroom next year and driving off in one, because you won’t. The HX1 is a showcase for where Peugeot sees the brand going in terms of “…architecture, aerodynamics, modularity, equipment, interior materials, the environment and powerplants.” Just like so many concepts from Peugeot of late – the funky HR1 Concept and the almost Aston Martin-esque SR1 spring to mind – the HRX1 is a crackingly good-looking car. A bit like a Mercedes R-Class with a proper injection of Gallic style and flair.
