Lamborghini SUV – Rumour mill in overdrive
Tue, 31 Jan 2012Is this the new Lamborghini SUV? The new car rumour mill has gone in to overdrive on Lamborghini, with claims of two new models at Geneva and a Lamborghini SUV at Beijing. Lamborghini is on record as stating that it will be bringing a new model to each new motor show in the next two years, which is some claim for a car maker with just two models in its range.
SsangYong Korando CSX Commercial: It’s a van – sort of
Thu, 15 Nov 2012SsangYong are continuing their Korando offensive with the Korando CSX Commercial, a van based on the Korando. The Ssangyong Korando is a decent effort to take on cars like the Hyundai ix35 and Ford Kuga, and now they’re having a punt at turning the Korando in to a ‘van’. But they haven’t exactly gone overboard with the detail and appear to have simply removed the back seats and painted out the back windows so no one can see what you’re carrying.
Drayson Racing aiming for Electric car World Land Speed Record
Thu, 30 May 2013The Drayson B12 69/EV – heading to RAF Elvington to break the EV land speed record. One of the best uses for electric car technology is to deliver copious amounts of instant torque for track cars – far more than an ICE engine manages – and Drayson Racing Technology is aiming to prove how much that electric power can help by taking its Drayson B12 69/EV to RAF Elvington on 25th June to attempt to break the land speed record for an EV. That record – 175mph – has stood since 1975 (which probably shows how little EV technology has really moved on in the last 40 years), but the low-drag version of the Drayson electric Le Mans prototype is aiming to break that down the 1.86 mile runway at Elvington.
