Up for auction is a good used transmission front cover for all the MGA series gearboxes and their derivatives. OEM part number 1H3137, Moss number 461-000 (NLA). This is the later type with the replaceable oil seal (not supplied) not the earlier scroll seal. It will fit all 1500, 1600, 1622 and the twin cam with the spring type clutch. Will not fit the magnette and also will not fit the very late diaphram clutch. Uses clutch fork 11G3194 (not supplied) It is in excellent condition with no cracks, breaks or warps. These have been unavailable for some time. They are known for getting broken at the keyway for the cluster gear shaft. This year's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este took place over the weekend of 23-35 May. Bathed in spring sunshine, the lawns of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este played host to the annual gathering of 50 of the world's finest classic and concept cars, and 35 motorbikes. Sadly, clashing commitments meant that CDN couldn't jet down to Lake Como this year.

The original Smart car probably did more than its fair share to persuade us that small cars needn't necessarily be unsafe. But now Gordon Murray is on the same mission: to persuade us that his titchy T27 city car is as safe as houses too. Gordon Murray Design has just issued its first crash test results, showing a T27 electric car after a crash test at the UK's MIRA industry research lab.  The crash test in question was the European-standard 40% offset deformable barrier front high-speed impact.
