The Evolution continues in the finest British tradition. The Mark VI RADIATOR CAP WRENCH dedicated to the "MG T-Series" is here. Always a great gift for the owner who has everything This Auction is for the Mark VI Radiator Cap Wrench, the latest iteration. It is designed for the MG "T Series", except the MG TF as the TF has a faux radiator cap. It also works on the MMM cars as they share the same Radiator Cap Dimensions. Since these are engraved with "T-Series" we would omit that if purchasing for a MMM car. The Wrench allows you to tighten your radiator cap sufficiently to eliminate that maddening seep of coolant which gets on your bonnet and soils your windscreen when you are motoring about in your T-type at 95 MPH, or something like that. Then use it when you wish to remove a hot radiator cap without burning your hands. It is proudly made in the "good ole US of A" from 3/8" thick, Space Age ABS plastic. ABS plastic is strong yet soft enough to avoid denting or scratching the chrome on your radiator cap. ABS will melt at about 200F IF you leave it in an oven long enough to attain that temperature through and through. My wrench (the first one made) shows no sign of any melting at the points of contact with the radiator cap after 5 years. Because it is ABS plastic, rather than plywood, it will not absorb dirt, grease or coolant. The top surface is textured for good grip yet it is easy to keep clean. The Mark VI is light which makes it easier to store in the side pocket of your door where it is easy to get to. We retained the finger indentations for better grip. The Mark VI has the pre-drilled hole in the handle. And as you can see in the photo, the Mark VI is engraved with the "MG" Logo and words "'T Series". Payment: PayPal, sorry. PLEASE email me if you wish another method. T-ABC Listers can send a personal check. Please email for alternative methods of payment as I would prefer it. Shipping: is actual cost of postage. PLEASE WAIT FOR AN INVOICE. The Ebay Calculator is rarely correct. This item easily ships within the USA in a small package via USPS First Class Mail for about $4.00. I have shipped within the USA via USPS First Class Mail (does not have a tracking number) for $2.29 and $.71 handling. The $5.00 is an estimate as the buyer's location controls the price. If you are in a hurry and prefer it, I can ship it by USPS Priority Flat Rate Envelope for $5.75. In either event, I will refund postage in excess of actual Postage and handling via Paypal. Overseas shipping will be obviously more. I will quote cost for overseas shipment once I know the destination. For example only, I shipped one to France by First Class Mail for 18.95 USD, but it took 12 days. Priority International Flat Rate Postage is about $25.25 USD and about 6 days. Please specify if you wish insurance. If you bought an item similar to this one at MOSS MOTORS it will be made of plywood and it will cost you $26.95, and the postage cost would be $10.25 if purchased separately. Do the math? This is a reasonable price for a superior item. Questions: about the item or auction may be sent to "sherparker1'via' msn. com" or through EBay. |

Younger Drivers Run Risk Through Service Skipping
Thu, 10 Oct 2013RECENT research carried out by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) has revealed that many younger drivers are failing to have their car serviced and maintained correctly. Risking vehicle-related financial, safety and efficiency problems, younger motorists are not only failing themselves, but other road users too. Polling 2,000 motorists on attitudes towards car maintenance, the survey found that 10% of drivers aged 18-24 claim their vehicle isn’t ever serviced.
What Car? True MPG reveals most fuel-efficient cars
Fri, 02 May 2014We’ve known for a while that there’s a huge gulf between the official fuel economy figures for new cars and what drivers achieve in the real world. What Car? says that its True MPG tests provide a more realistic figure and over the past two years it has tested almost 400 cars. Now, it has revealed which 10 cars proved most efficient its True MPG tests, so if you’re hoping to spend less at the fuel pumps, these cars could be well worth a look.
College Exhibition: Royal College of Art - Connections
Fri, 01 Jun 2007First year Vehicle Design students at the Royal College of Art were given a brief to develop a car that would achieve universal individual mobility for people of all ages living in rural environments. Using intelligent systems technology, new materials and means, and retaining high standards of sustainability, the students were asked: what are the vehicles for tomorrow's countryside? Five different groups consisting of three students devised several very different proposals to answer this question.
