REMOVED FROM A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA CAR. SEE PHOTO. BUYER PAYS SHIPPING. I ACCEPT PAYPAL PAYMENTS. I WILL COMBINE SHIPMENTS. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL I SEND INVOICE BEFORE MAKING PAYMENT. FOR OVERSEAS SHIPMENT, I WILL HAVE TO CUT THE SPARE TIRE CARRIER, WHERE THE PIPES GO UNDER THE TIRE CARRIER IN THE MIDDLE. THIS WILL NOT REDUCE WEIGHT, BUT WILL REDUCE PACKAGE SIZE, ALLOWING ME TO SHIP WORLDWIDE. FOR SOME DESTINATIONS, I WILL NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. I WILL HAVE TO GRIND AWAY THE SPOT WELDS HOLDING THE THREE BOLTS TO THE SPARE TIRE CARRIER. THAT REDUCES THE HEIGHT BY TWO INCHES. BY DOING THAT, I CAN SHIP IN A 30 INCH X 28 INCH X 10 INCH BOX. SHIPPING WEIGHT CALCULATED AT 33-34 POUNDS. STILL EXPENSIVE TO SHIP OVERSEAS, BUT AT LEAST VIABLE. I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHIP THIS TO EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND. IF SHIPMENT FROM THERE IS APPEALING TO YOU, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANK YOU!

Thu, 01 Sep 2011

Smart will unveil its new Forvision concept car at the 2011 Frankfurt motor as the manufacturer continues its preview its future design direction. In the last 12 months the company has revealed its Forspeed and eScooter concepts, with the latest addition designed to keep to the original ForTwo's green specifications. The Forvision uses the latest Smart electric drive system, which Daimler claims will add approximately 20 percent to the range of the current electric Smart, with an EV range of around 110 miles. The vehicle's paintwork and glass can reflect heat – on a hot day it can apparently cool the interior by around 20° C. The concept also has a glass roof, with Daimler is in the process of developing transparent solar charging technology.
