Drivers caught speeding are now more likely to take a driver education course than accept points on their licence, according to the latest government statistics. 953,428 motorists took a speed awareness course last year – a hefty increase over the 500,000 that took part in 2010. New so-called ‘stealth’ speed cameras: don’t panic “Black box” drivers hit by speeding fines from insurers This is partly down to the rise in speeding fines from £60 to £100 – taking a speeding awareness course usually costs around £85 (depending on the area), which means it’s now less rather than more than the cost of a fine.

The Nissan GT-R – one of the most iconic sports car models of all time – was unveiled in its latest go-even-faster Nismo incarnation in Tokyo on Tuesday 19th November 2013. MSN went to soak up the atmosphere at Nissan’s HQ in Yokohama on the outskirts of Tokyo and speak to the management. “Developing the GT-R is an act of passion and a driver of innovation”, so declared Nissan’s overall boss Carlos Ghosn (bottom left) after he was driven on stage by record-breaking driver Michael Krumm at the exclusive reveal of its GT-R supercar in Yokohama.

Now the Blue Oval has released the first details of the new ST, with a refreshed look to emphasise its sporty position at the top of the Focus tree.So there's a new bumper, much shallower grille and more rectangular, swept-back headlamps at the front, giving a more techincal look. The rear has been refreshed, too, but the changes are less noticeable.
