Original Mickey Thompson IDA Weber Intake Manifold-Un-Machined! I purchased this at Mickey's Toy-Shop Auiction, held in San Pedro-CA, many years ago directly from Mickey himself! This happened before Mickey and his wife Trudy's Exicution on March 16th, 1988! This intake was a Product of the contract Mickey had with GM's Oldsmobile Racing Division back in the in the early to mid 1960's, developed specfically for Road-Racing when the 455 Oldsmobile Motors were both Powerful and Popular and Plentiful! Only a few of these were ever Cast, and only a few were ever Machined and used for the Baha 1,000 Race! Less than a Dozen Intakes were made as Castings, and only 3 or 4 were machined completely! One was Destroyed on a Dyno Motor in Testing, two were used on motors for the Oldsmobole Racing Division of General Motors. This can be used with 55-58 MM Weber Carburetors, if your Pureist or can easilt be Converted to EFI using Throttle-Bodies to replace the Carburetors! This is One of the Few Weber Intakes that has Survived through the last 24 Years, VERY-RARE-INDEED!

Michelin has announced the theme for the 2014 Michelin Challenge Design competition – ‘Driven/Undriven: The Duality of Tomorrow's Automobiles'. Participants will explore the human-to-vehicle connection, focusing on how this can evolve automotive design. The exploration of autonomous vehicles has gathered pace in recent years, with Toyota displaying its autonomous Lexus car at the recent CES in Las Vegas, while other carmakers and even Google have been investing heavily in the concept.

BMW Z4M? Sorry, it’s the Z4 M-Sport

BMW are testing a Z4 with an M-Sport package round the Nurburgring I suppose that at least this way you can have a Z4 that looks the part- with bigger wheels and bumpers and maybe even a suspension tweak or three – without having to bother with the big price ticket or the not inconsiderable running costs. To be fair, the Z4 sDrive35i is not particularly slow. It will manage to get to 60 mph in around 5.0 seconds; handles well and looks so much better than the Z3 did.

Mercedes-Benz has released a promo video for the SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary model giving grown men permission to cry. The 2012 Mercedes SL does look to offer far more for the driver than any SL that’s gone before, and the range-topping SL 65 promises to be a proper supercar. Mercedes are kicking off the SL65 with the Mercedes SL 65 AMG 45th Anniversary Edition, built to celebrate 45 years of AMG, which offers extra goodies over and above the already well specced SL 65.
