Mickey Thompson Valve Covers - 1969 Mopar - 383

For sale is a pair of beautiful Mickey Thompson aluminum valve covers off my 1969 383 Road Runner.  I believe these will fit 1960s - 70s 383 or 440 Mopars, including Chargers, Challengers, Barracudas, GTXs and other Chrysler, Plymouth and Dodge products.  Please check the fitment and ask before any questions before bidding.

These are classic/vintage  M/T valve covers from early.  Installed on my 1969 Road Runner in about 1981 and were used for about 10,000 miles.   They are straight and clean and in very good condition.  Please see photos.

They just don't make them like this any more!  One of the covers have the oil filler and vent openings.  Other cover has no openings.

UK Budget 2011: the outcome for motorists

UK chancellor George Osborne announced the 2011 budget today - which includes fuel duty cuts and changes to car tax that will affect every motorist in the land. 2011 Budget changes to fuel duty The Government will cut 1p in fuel duty, effective from 6.00pm tonight. Osborne said the fuel tax cut was designed to offset rising fuel prices, which have burdened every driver with higher bills. And the current inflation-linked 'fuel price escalator', established by the previous Government, has been abolished. Further fuel duty rises in line with inflation have been deferred until 1 January 2012. The planned 1 April 2012 fuel duty rise will be deferred to 1 August 2012.

Stig's Chinese cousin on Top Gear Tonight Top Gear tonight (Series 18, Episode 2) sees Clarkson and May in China, Hammond doing NASCAR, the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster & Matt LeBlanc is SIARPC. After the disappointing Top Gear Christmas Special in India, the latest series of Top Gear needed to start with a bang – and it did. Old Top Gear was back with Supercars in Italy and Christmas sins were forgiven.

Heathrow congestion charge pondered

DRIVERS travelling to Heathrow could face a congestion charge should the west London airport be chosen for expansion. Bosses at Heathrow will tell the Whitehall-appointed Airports Commission there could be a case for introducing a charge once improvements in public transport in the area are delivered. Such a charge would not apply to surrounding roads such as the M25, the M4 and the A4, but would affect vehicles travelling to the airport.
