Condition:Used

**************No Reserve**************

I'm not sure what I have. I believe it is a 1936-1939 BMW 326 engine and transmission cutaway. If there are any experts out there please chime in. I have had this for years and have no idea what it is really worth. If I was a vintage BMW guy I would love to display it with my cars. It has not been refinished or even cleaned, but has been in air-conditioned storage in Texas. I'm starting this auction at $500.00 with no reserve. BMW is celebrating their 100th anniversary this year and is the featured marque at Pebble Beach.
I'm selling this and some 40 years worth of car and motorcycle parts, tools and memorabilia that I have collected over the years.

Porsche seeks ‘everyday magic' with film contest

Fri, 16 Sep 2011

Porsche North America has tapped into its considerable fan base, seeking homegrown visions for its My Daily Magic filmmaking contest. Aspiring directors made 60-second spots for the brand that show his or her interpretation of “everyday magic.” Of those entries, 10 finalists were chosen to make 90-second commercials that will be voted on by the public, as well as by Porsche brass. One film shows a father that has to run some errands on a weekday.

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV – the sort of car the Government will acquire The roll-out of electric cars has not been an exactly overwhelming success, with even the Government’s £5,000 bribe to get you to go electric failing to kick start electric car sales in a meaningful way. So the Lib Dem bit of the coalition has decided that the Government should lead by example and have declared that the Government Car Service – which supplies cars for ministers and ‘government’ use – will start to acquire electric cars from this Autumn and, as part of the £5 million scheme, the wider public sector will be involved with council, police and NHS fleets looking seriously at EVs. But this scheme is aimed at the sorts of government cars that do the daily grind; ferrying junior ministers, getting staff to meetings and making deliveries in commercial vehicles.

Brabus V12 cabriolet squeezes 800 hp into an E-class Mercedes-Benz

Fri, 08 Jul 2011

Consider German tuner Brabus the BALCO to Mercedes-Benz’s Barry Bonds: Brabus makes the cars stronger, faster and meaner. First, Brabus attacked the Mercedes E-class sedan, and then it went crazy on the coupe, installing insane V12 engines in both. Now, the mad scientists are pumping up the four-seat cabriolet.
