Bench Racing: New crop of supercars
Tue, 07 May 2013It's been a while since we've hypothetically raced a handful of cars around the office; long enough that an entirely new crop of supercars has arrived for us to chart, graph and dissect. Legendary drag racer Don Garlits couldn't have been legendary without his wife Patricia, who recently passed at the age of 71; in a few more weeks, they would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. She supported Don when he didn't think his racing would amount to anything, and she was instrumental in persuading Don to switch to rear-engined dragsters -- Don's eventual acceptance ended up changing the face of drag racing forever.
Renault Captur concept
Thu, 10 Feb 2011With Renault's current design strategy being based around life and human emotion, the second installment of the program is the Captur concept. As a result, the Captur is a coupe/off-roader fusion that has clear links with the DeZir concept from which the Captur borrows its DRG; the new face of Renault.
