Up for bid is a set of military truck troop seat brackets. I bought these to mount the seats in my CUCV, but have since found the correct ones. These are similar to the ones for the CUCV, but are a little fatter and shorter, and these are threaded instead of using a pin clip. I had did use these to test fit the seats in my truck, and you might be able to make them work with a little imagination. I ran the part number 12255609 through fedlog and it indicates these are part of the kit used to put troop seats in 2.5 and 5 ton dump beds and some other applications I could not decode. Daimler to axe Maybach in 2013. New Mercedes S Class Pullman instead

After all, who wants an old S Class with chintzy trim and lots of toys for more money than a Rolls Royce Phantom? And now it seems that Daimler has also realised their revival of the Maybach has fallen flat on its face (except in Germany and to a pair from the Dragons’ Den) and it’s time to move on.
New Jaguar XJR UK debut next week
Fri, 07 Jun 2013The New Jaguar XJR (pictured) gets its UK debut at Moto Expo 2013 Lovers of powerful XJs were delighted discover that a new Jaguar XJR, which debuted at the New York Auto Show in April, will finally give them a properly sporty XJ, rather than the somewhat compromised SuperSport version of the current XJ with the 5.0 litre Supercharged engine. Jaguar has kept faith with the history of the XJR by giving the new model a subtle ‘Sporty’ makeover with only gentle go-faster bits – like ‘R’ badges, new alloys, quad tailpipes, small boot spoiler, front splitter and a subtle body kit – so the new XJR looks purposeful, rather than looking like its been dipped in a Halfords bargain bucket. The real changes come under the skin, with the new XJR getting the 542bhp version of the 5.0 litre supercharged engine, tweaked dampers and spring rates, refined active diff and DSC and new shift patterns for the 8-speed auto box.
